Title: Brake light pressure switch
Post by: jmohara on September 30, 2017, 20:38:54
I have a little pressure switch in the drivers rear arch that activates the brake lights. Seems to have failed. Anyone know the part number or the source of the original part?

Very high tech!   I have a mechanical switch mounted on the brake pedal arm.

Like you, I'd try and get the original part but if that proves to be elusive retrofitting a simple on/off switch to the brake pedal may be an easy alternative OEM option for you?

John,

Local Ford dealer. Part number C1AZ-13480-A or Motorcraft SW24. Don't use cheap ones, they split and leak.
