Spare Parts & Possible Sources

Out of interest I started trying to find as many old postings as possible listing owners who'd found and given sources for Frua spare parts in the past. Although there are probably quite a few finding them was a different matter, in fact most listed below were only posted recently, so I thought it might make life a little easier if there was some sort of central list. So if anyone's interested and wants to add a few more spare parts and their sources into the thread feel free, I can then insert them as Edits into the top list later on.

This is a great idea.
I contacted CCS Windscreens, however they cannot help.  It's a pitty, and I am still looking for a windscreen for my convertible (CF9).
   Kind regards

Hi Damien

That's strange as last year they said they'd already made a few, one to keep as a template for future orders. Have you tried Old School Windscreens yet ?

Hi Damien,

I have just purchased a windscreen for my convertible CF34 from Old School Windscreens - about £360.  None in stock but should have them soon.  Still looking for all the chrome bits that go round the windscreen.

   Regards
   Mike

Hi Paul,

Great idea.  I hope lots of people put in a source.  The front indicators are definitely Karmann Ghia Type 34 (late 60s).  Also available from http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220452616299.

   Regards

From CCS Windscreens - 20/7/09
(Sounds as though there's another option besides clear glass)

   _________________________

To supply only the clear windscreen for an AC 428 is £380 + vat
To supply and fit is £460 + vat

You will need to provide transportation of the glass yourself if you want it to be supplied only. If you wish for it to be supplied and fitted you will need to come to our depot.

At present if ordered today the glass would be ready at the end of August 2009. If you do wish for us to order the glass you will need to pay a deposit upfront of £240 + vat as it is being specially made, therefore we would not be able to cancel the order once it has been placed.

Now how have you guys solved the issue of the worn out rubber joints (my chrome parts are ok)?
   Kind regards,
