78k so far, I do see it jumping with minutes left in true eBay fashion.  I was pleasantly surprised to see almost 11 thousand views on his page.  Did you see the public questions and answers on it? Non original motor and non original paint. I wonder what that will do to the final price.

Thank you so much for that info, I was told that it had spent its entire life in Cali, but it was just here say as my paper trail ends in 63'.  Do you know what kind of info the Registrar is looking for mostly?

Ace, Aceca & Greyhound Forum / USA AC parts supplier
« on: December 12, 2013, 19:08:05 »
Greeting and happy holidays everyone,

I have an update on an AC parts supplier in the US for anyone interested.  Jim Feldman of Portland Oregon has recently purchase all of Ron Leonard's AC parts. Ron out in Colorado, still has small parts for Bristol engines and is still selling them, according to Jim.  Jim has been of tremendous help to me to get my Aceca finished, including having an original square bottom windshield shipped to my door in less than 3 days.  He also supplied me with any weatherstripping I've needed, and hasn't failed me yet to source a part.  I am posting this for him at his request because, as he puts it, his dog knows more about the internet than him:)

Also, he did mention he has an Ace in need of a restoration that he is sitting on until he finds someone who wants to buy it then give him direction on what type of restoration they would like him to do to it. I can't remember the year or motor but you can call him to get the details

   His phone number
   1-503-706-8250

I will be posting his address for those that prefer snail mail as soon as I am back at my shop and I have it handy.

Ace, Aceca & Greyhound Forum / Aceca windshield (USA)
« on: October 22, 2013, 06:24:48 »
Hello all,

I am trying to track down a windshield for my 55 Aceca, this is pretty much the last item needed to finish this resto, does anyone know of anywhere to get one, I am located in Arizona.

I looked into previous posts but it looks like the most recent was 2009, so I wasn't sure if anything new has popped up.

I have a local windshield guy that can make me one custom, but as I'm sure you can imagine it gets pricey.

   Thanks,
   Austin

Ace, Aceca & Greyhound Forum / History of AEX542
« on: October 07, 2013, 18:25:46 »
Hello All!
I am the owner of AEX542, which was sold in March of this year in California, here is a link of the first posting about it:

   http://www.acownersclub.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=2696

The car came with many documents dating back to the early 60's, by then it had already been converted to a Ford V8. I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to get any earlier information on the car, specifically build dates, original options, etc.  If my understanding is correct, there is not a searchable Registrar available online.

Any information is helpful, and if I am posting this in the wrong place, please redirect me.

   Thanks
   Austin

P.S. The build is going fantastic. the body aluminum is in great shape, and the car is already out of paint and in the final stages of being put together. If anybody has any specific questions of the build, Id be happy to answer them
