Certainly is a cigar lighter. To use .push in center, to remove...grasp firmly around the outside black ring and pull straight down...viola. also will function as power port.

It took some talking to get Brian Angliss to include the lighter. He didn't smoke and neither did I, But the need for a power point to plug in the radar detector was paramount! Thus the lighter. And the "map light" on the bulkhead between the seats was due to two needs, a light in the cockpit and an easier way to get at the fuel sending unit as these were giving some troubles. A large percentage of the early cars had problems with clogged fuel filters as the tanks were full of aluminum pieces from construction. The cleaning process usewd at Autokraft didn't get all the little bits out and many cars suffered from clogged filters after a few hundred miles.
